Nice report, thanks, was the area pretty lightly travelled when you were there. For stinky neoprene, do a web search for "sink the stink", some kayaker came up with a product that neutralizes the foul smell that sweaty neoprene manufactures. 'Spozed to work pretty well.

We saw some occupied campsites but few people. The few people we did see were between Sawbill and the fire lakes and even then it was few: A dad and son at the Sawbill to Ada portage; a soloist on the Sawbill to Smoke portage; and a group of 8 from a girls camp (though we only saw 3 and talked to only 1) on the Smoke to Burnt portage. Oh, we did see a group of guys that were exiting on our first day, but we weren't 10 minutes into the BW yet.

We saw NO ONE paddling the entire time.

Thanks for the tip on "sink the Stink". I'll check it out.

Thanks Bannock-nice report. Knew you and Jim would have a great time as usual, you are both great travel partners that do more than your share of the work.

Ice on Peterson is not such a rare thing-only thing is when we had ice it was on the lake not in the fire grate.

Very nice report Bannock, sounded like a great trip! As far as stinky neoprene, the best thing I have found is to turn it inside out and let it sit in the sun for a day or two...

Good trip report! I just have one question, the rock and ceder leaf, do you have a picture of that? I think I followed them out last year also, in the fall, early sept. sometime, we stayed at 2 or 3 three campsites that had a rock and somekind of leaf. I think one of the spots was on Ogishkemuncie Lake, and i think there was another on toe lake. my girlfriend and I loved the welcome gift.

thanks travis

I don't have a picture of it, but we were on Ogish last year the first week of August and saw it there too.
