I used to be able to find these little bricks called pemmican bars. It was kinda like an entire loaf of bread compressed into a 3x3x1 inch block with some raisins and nuts and other stuff. They were absolutley terrible, but eating one for breakfast would keep you full until dinner. The last time i recall finding them we traded some stuff to some boy scouts in valle vidal, new mexico for them. if anyone knows where to get these, let me know.

When I was in the Boy Scouts we went to Philmont in NM and were forced to eat those damn things.....NASTY
There were a couple of us that were talking about that experience last year and made it a goal to find Pemmican and do scientific experiments on them.....ha ha ha ha :)
Needless to say we never found them.

I would love to hear from others that have had to experience the awful taste, smell or sight of the legendary Pemmican bars!
