I will be part of a church group going up into the same area next month. I agree, those honey holes would be nice on the maps!

My wife and I took a simmilar trip back in 03. The wind was fun on all of the numbered lakes and through hudson. We too found a nice island campsite. Although a tree did fall one night and really scare the heck out of my wife. My wife caught a few small walleye off the site, but nothing to eat. We were up at the beginning of august and hit some really warm weather, mid 90's during the day and mid 70's at night. But all in all it was a fun time. We day tripped into Alice lake to check out a camp site I had heard about from the outfitter. Wife almost killed me because the canoe was blowing all over the place without any weight in it from our packs. But we survived to tell the tale. Although my wife now says she only wants to day trip in the BWCA.
