Earlier on the general board I posted a note about a canoe I was thinking about getting. I got it!! This past weekend we took it out for the first time (Chester Woods-see other post in this section). It was my whole family, wife and three children 7, 4, 2. The two year old sat in front of mom the other two were on seat cushins. This was the BELL Northwind(http://www.bellcanoe.com/products/canoes/northwind.html)however, it is made for Gaylans with their name on it. The price is much lower and they take an additional 10% when you purchase it plus an additional 10% if you put it on their Cedit Card, if you don't have one of theirs. For me this made it VERY affordable to get a new canoe at a GREAT price. This is the Royalex model. It handdled well in the wind that was up on Sunday afternoon. Can't wait until May 25th when we head out from our entry point for the rest of the week.
