I've heard that there is pretty good fishing in the Fourtown area and we usually camp for a week once we reach our spot. But it looks like a very short trip from the Mudro entry and I'm worried about traffic that close. Would we see a lot of people/traffic if we camp on Fourtown for a week? I like to go where the people are few, and the fish are many.
Depending on the time of year you will see plenty of people in the Horse-Fourtown area. Mudro is a popular entry and lots of people come out Mudro as well after doing the border lakes. You can be there for a week-but you will never be alone between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

Aug fourtown would be one of the best lakes if you want to fish where there are plenty of fish and not many people at all fishing them...most people paddle through fourtown since it is so close to the entry point 22. But they head west when they get about half way up the lake. SO that entire northern section of the lake would be yours alone. I have caught many walleyes and a few large northerns on the northern part so im sure you would do fine.
We will be putting in at Mudro this Friday. I was thinking we might just spend the weekend on the north end of Fourtown. Any of the campsites up there suitable for four tents?
