If I am thinking of the right Kelly Lake, it and Peterson are both lakes along the Temperance river and easily accessed through the Baker Lake entry point. I have never fished either Kelly or Peterson so I do not know how the fishing was. This area was hit hard by the blowdown of 1999. The entry is right at the Baker Lake forest service campground. I was there last October-November and watched the lakes ice up. We actually had to paddle and break ice along Kelly. Below is a picture of fellow board member Troutbreath breaking ice along Kelly.

I stayed on Kelly briefly. There is some walleye fishing to be had on the western shore. I would troll that shore. We where on Kelly pre-1999 storm so I can't speak to the wind damage. We stayed on one of the points. I believe the southern one. It was nice at the time.
The next lake north from Kelly is Jack, try fishing around the one only "deep" hole on the lake. Map
We were not there to fish except for a meal of walleye so I can't speak to pike or smallmouth in Kelly or surrounding lakes.
If you where up for portaging, then South Temperance or Burnt are good fishing options, but both would require good sized portages.
Good Luck

LOL! I would not have noticed the dates if you had not called it to our attention.

Plus 2 on both points. Thanks for marking the fishing points.

Ditto.
I didn't notice much blowdown ( at least comapred to areas W of Seagull before the fires in late July of 1999 ) in 2004 on the way up from Baker to Jack.
