Yeeeup, you were darn close with River Lake! Such a cool area, I think I like it more every time I look at photos.

I'm sure your next pic would have been a sure giveaway! The-site-we-don't-talk-about considers that end of Fishdance still part of River, IDK why. Now how do I remove the GPS tags from these photos...

Interesting, I didn't notice that. Other maps I've seen consider it Fishdance as soon as you portage in, and Google does too, so I'm gonna keep considering that whole contiguous body of water Fishdance Lake. :)

The real question is, is River Lake even a thing, or is it really just the Kawishiwi River? Could South Kawishiwi River be South River Lake? :P

This is one of my favorite areas too! Naming in this area is certainly less concrete than most other areas, which I am 100% ok with. I agree with you on the northern end of Fishdance, but where do you split up the next few miles of river? What I circled in blue is what I call "River Lake". I consider the red part also River Lake and the green part of Malberg Lake, but I've seen them both go either way, or be generically labelled "Kawishiwi River-Malberg". My knowledge is all internet though, I'd be interested in hearing other people's opinions on the naming of these sections of the river.
