I feel like I unlocked a secret solution, so I had to share!

Like many others it seems, I have been thinking with ways to transport my Kni-Co Alaskan (12”x12”x24”) - than bare naked. I’ll save the details, but I soon realized I needed to cover all the sharp steel edges and corners. While chewing on that thought for a while, my eye caught the milk crates I had spray paint cans in… and two of them cap both ends like a charm!

When I saw the general shape of it put together with the crates, I had an idea. My GG Food Pack that has been somewhat neglected since I mostly pack down into a BV these days. It took some patience and care, slowly getting the fabric around the collar up and around every corner of the crates, but I soon realized, it was a match made in heaven

The entire stove kit including cast iron pan is inside, around 42lbs last I checked. I fit the pan outside the stove, yet in the crate where there is some space left. All of it sure gives the food pack some structure! Figured this system may be compatible to other stove/crates/packs so I wanted to share

Assuming this upcoming warmup doesn’t last I’ll post back with a field test report mid-Feb!
