Hello all,
Just looking for a little info this morning. I am planning a trip to LLC from EP16 in late August or early September. I’ve done this a couple times before, but both times in early June. I was wondering what we might expect as far as water levels, bugs etc. at this time of year. Also maybe crowds.

I went solo to Lynx from EP 14 early September last year and, compared to a trip in early June a year or two earlier, the water levels were very noticeably lower. Is this common or maybe just the result of a dry summer (at least where I live)?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks. Jim

Water levels will be lower, bugs will be less. End of August crowds are similar to June crowds. Once you get into Sept, the crowds start to dwindle.

+1.

We did this route in the last days of August, 2022. No problem getting through other than a sandy shallow or two early on the Moose River requiring the bow paddler to get out for a minute and some additional rock garden to navigate on the Boulder River between Agnes and Boulder Bay. It was moderately crowded but there were sites on each lake. Enjoy.
