I have not been there since the spring, but I believe the boards over the creek have not been replaced. There is a beaver damn south of the portage crossing I’ve used in the past to cross. I’d call the Forest service or Piragis to confirm.

I've been watching the forums to see if anyone reports the boardwalk getting replaced and haven't seen anything. It was possible the last time I was there (1 year ago) to keep your feet mostly dry (not over average hiking boot height) if you walked through the brush to walk across the beaver dam itself. Going through the pond proper was much to deep (hip deep on my 5'7" frame). However, beavers will be beavers so things might look a lot different. Hopefully you can get an accurate report from someone here or from an outfitter.

I hiked it mid August and the Spring Creek boardwalk was blown apart.. There is a narrow beaver dam just to the west... Had to change to camp shoes as a precaution... again it's narrow but workable.. Don't kid yourself it gets deep.. been told waist deep....

Scoozer: "DMan
Is the bridge and or beaver dam on the west or east side of the lake? Also, is it by Home Lake?
Thanks

Scoozer, The Spring Creek crossing I'm referencing is on the portage into the lake.. While going "in" the passable beaver dam is on the west (left) side

The boardwalk is gone, but it looks like people are crossing on the beaver damn--that's where I turned around (I was looking for grouse). Ran into a runner who said he was able to keep his feet dry going in but got his feet wet on the return.
