I love when the algorithm finds me! Super cool old footage from 1936.

Great video!

A few observations:

1. You have to smoke a pipe on a canoe trip back then.
2. T-shirts had not been invented in 1936.
3. It is OK to paddle a canoe nude, as long as you are the stern paddler.
4. There were no muddy portages in 1936, and all landing spots and entry points for portages were really easy to dry-foot.

Buck naked!!! Lol. The first minute, loading the canoe…the guy with the baggy trousers pulled up to reveal the argyle socks! Classic!

The guy in the tent unzipping a pretty modern rain jacket…

I love the guy eating jam or jelly with a spoon right out of the jar. Lol
I wonder what kind of bug dope they used back then?

Cool post!

Cool film clip!
PFD were used for the portage yoke cushions as long as your paddles were correctly positioned.
Wonder how heavy the packs were? One shot looked the gentleman was really heaving to get it out of canoe.
I wonder who they might be, and almost certainly some wound up in the great conflict just a half a dozen years later. Did they make it back ok? Ever re visit the area? So many questions, I really enjoyed the clip!

How many of us wear watches out in the waters? I usually don't have one, maybe I do.,.. there are sure a lot of shots with watches being worn!
