“The permit would have allowed PolyMet to fill nearly 1,000 acres of wetlands at its proposed mine site with dredged material, something mine opponents have described as the largest permitted destruction of wetlands in the state’s history.”

There is not a single Government agency that has supported this mine state or federal. One after another, they continue to find scientific evidence that the mine will harm people and the environment in perpetuity.

I also appreciate the irony that PolyMet is Swiss, and we'd be exporting the wealth generated by mining Minnesota's natural resources to Switzerland.

Do you have any proof of this?

Google it :) There's quite a few. I know Cirrus planes for sure 100% .
The Cliffs im not 100%, they might have bought back China 30% stake back in 2008.
China buys majority of our Iron Ore though.

Not to be argumentative, but Cliffs uses the iron ore that they produce in their own blast and now electric arc furnaces.
I don't want to start an online agreement, but I do know what I'm talking about. I work for Cliffs.

Seems those running the country are helping China prosper. Also seems like many feel we should get these metals from China and their child slave labor. Like Chinas child slave labor mines in the Congo.
