portagedog09: "That's not to say there won't be CCS tarps - Rutabaga regularly carries their stuff so you could probably still get one. As I recall, CCS was not there last year either.
Sure do hope that Dan is doing well!"
PLus one hoping Dan is doing well

I was emailing CCS recently about a Tundra Tarp which got damaged on a Scout campout. They will not be at Canoecopia.

Rutabaga offers CCS items at a discount, but it's limited to what they might have in stock during the show. I had hoped for some slightly different colors for our Pioneer packs, but settled for 2 green ones since the price was right.
Here's hoping you're doing well, Dan!

I am still there. I have tough time extremely my getting words out. With brain cancer effected my Speech. It tough to get to formulate.
I am not listed in presenter. I am going though chemo and radiation, and it's not advised to be in large group setting, I heeded my given advice. Although it has been tough not visit you in person.
CCS will be well representative, and well stocked. Custom canoe covers will be available.

Take care Dan. More prayers for your recovery and spirit. One step in front of the other. I/We will miss you but you will be there through your beloved products. And frankly I think of you at least once on every trip because CCS is with me.

Thinking of you, Dan. Your craftsmanship is a key part of every paddle trip I take.

Wishing you a speedy recovery Dan! I used one of your multi-colored 10x10 silnylon tarps out Atikaki (Manitoba) this past summer. It worked great particularly in a nasty storm that blew in on us at the last minute. I'm going to pick up one of your packs at Copia. Be well.

Dan, also hoping for a great recovery. I have a good friend who for many years had trouble writing and getting words out after brain cancer. Things slowly got better over time, the invention of autocorrect changed things for her typing. But mostly the love and support from others meant we were willing to listen and wait to hear her words. I’m sure the same is true for you with all of the wisdom you have, respect you command, and kindness you have shown others.
A few weeks ago, a friend looked at me on a Manhattan sidewalk and said I was ready for the mountains. My custom rucksack makes an impression and goes everywhere.

W call our CCS tarp the ‘life saver tarp’. Always have. On a cold, wet steady rain type of day when you probably just want to go home and nobody is having fun… you have the life saver tarp to keep our spirits up and our bodies dry. Thanks Dan!

I bet many people could tell a story similar to Tom's.
I will paddle eternal, Kevlar and carbon.

I'm guessing the speech bothers you more than those of us that care about you. We're a patient bunch and can intuit what was meant. Hoping for healing and a speedy treatment regime. Glad you are heeding doctor's orders. Take good care.

Thank you Dan & CCS for the quick turn-around on that tarp I mentioned earlier. The check is in the mail!
Best wishes!

Get well soon! Was nice to see Dan at Canoecopia!
They were busy whenever I went by. Helped me with an outside the box idea with something I already own from them. Might need 1 more now once I know if it works. Also might run a barrel pack up to have Nathan add a lower pair of lifting loops after talking to him this weekend.

Thinking of you, Dan... and praying for a full and speedy recovery. Good to see you at Copia. Take care.
