We brought both for a mid-May trip last year.
Was definitely a challenge keeping the minnows alive while traveling to camp. We were not able to get them oxygen packed so they were transported in the minnow bucket which needed to be dunked in the water every couple minutes, unless you wanted to tow them while paddling, which I did not.
Leeches did not require any attention.
Once we got to camp and had them resting in the lake water all went well.
We were able to keep the minnows alive for 8 days. Same for the leeches.
The bottom line... we did not notice a difference between the minnows and leeches when it came to catching walleyes. Both worked equally well. With that said, we won't bother bringing minnows again in the future.

yogi59weedr: "Phil,
Ya gonna be back at fall lake anytime soon. "
I'm packing the trailer and will be at Fall Lake Friday 6/10 - 6/16. This is a much shorter visit than previous visits due to doctoring and appointments.
