That was nice. Very cool that you got to see the fire and plane up close.
It's also great that Eric's parents live so close to the BW. Just think - fresh blueberry pie every summer!
Side question: How are you enjoying Chicago these days? It's been the coldest winter in 24 or 25 years I've heard.

Wow, what a fantastic trip report. I loved your description, your pictures, and your trip. Really first class. And I'm always glad to see there are other folks out there who think "why do 2 portages when you can do 9 instead?!" Thanks for turning on the way-back machine to share with us.

Glad you all enjoyed it! This site is definitely helping me thru the winter blahs.
Tom T--The first couple of weeks here were rough. Seems like if it wasn't snowing then the temps were below zero... A big change from sunny and 60 every day. But I'm finally starting to enjoy it--went to a state park and played in the snow last weekend. With the temperature at a whopping 37 degrees, it felt like spring!

An excellent creative title and
like a book, it drew me in
I opened your report more out of curiosity and I found that you can judge a book by it's cover (in your case)
Nice job but no thanks on even being close to smoke on the water (unless smoke from my campfire)

I just looked at your last posting of photo's and would like to know where the Killarney photo was taken? I liked reading your report. I like when canoeists title their pictures for it makes them more interesting. Have you been back to BWCAW lately? You can email me at canoenut46@hotmail.com
Lets go canoe tripping as often as possible. "You never stop having fun because you grow old, you grow old because you stop having fun".
