I know that these 2 areas aren't in Quetico, but I wonder if anyone has been there recently. My last trip up that way was almost 30 years ago, and I'd like to take my son and a few other friends. It was pretty peaceful and remote back then, but that was a looong time ago. Any advice or info?
i went out of Ear Falls about an hour and a half by boat last spring, before most of the real fishing gets cranked up around there and i saw just 2 boats and a single canoe, went as far as Goose lake and it was incredible, but with the weather that i went into (snow/rain/wind) i was soaked and cold in my 18' Lund and i would probably be worried about going in with just a Canoe wspecially since the distances are immense before we found a suitable campsite.
My brother in law has a friend who's mother owns a fly in fishing place on Fletcher lake and he says that every year they see a canoe go across their lakes, it sounds like a great trip... the fishing is supposed to be incredible!!
