The group is planning to meet up in ely and spend the day/night around town before we go "in".

Anybody have any recomondations for a place to stay... accomidating 6-9 people... cheap? Bed and shower is about all we need.

See if River Point Outfitters has any open bunk houses. They sleep six and are only $15 per person when we go up. We use them as an outfitter so it may be more if you are just using the bed and shower or a night, but worth a try and really good people.

Hey Hex, I am staying out at Smitty's on Snowbank... might be out of your way... but rooms were about $65.00 a night for 4... I chose there because it is a good price and we are putting in at Snowbank for our trip in... seemed like a good idea.
Where entry point are you using? Canoe Country Outfitters in Ely also has bunkhouses I think...

Check with Voyager North. Right in Ely near eating and drinking establishments. Great showers, great people, some of the rooms have frig and microwave so you can save on eating out also.
