Am planning my BWCA trip for the beginning of June of this year. We have 2 different entry points & trips we are considering. One is Entry Point 14 (Little Indian Sioux River North) We were looking at heading into Shell Lake or Lynx Lake. The other trip we were considering is Sawbill Lake into Smoke Lake, & Burnt Lake. Does anyone have any info on these areas? Fishing, Camp Sites, etc.? Any information is would be great!
If you are looking for the better fishing I would go with shell. Bring leaches to Burnt, didn't have much luck with artificial. Unless you are happy with the northern which will hit anything that moves. Plenty of other paddlers in Burnt also.
