I have a pair of traditional snowshoes, and I've noticed that the rawhide has stretched out. Is this normal? Is there someway to fix this, without restringing them? I bought them from Cabelas after the Halloween blizzard and I've only used them a few times sence then and I'd like to keep them in good repair.

You may want to put a fresh coat of poly on them. I use marine varnish and it works well.
