I went through in July. Water levels were higher then. There is one bog or swamp that must be crossed, about 100 yards or so. Crossing the swamp was mucky and murky, bottomless if you stepped in the wrong spot. However there are logs in and around the muck to hold you up and the crossing is not that long- just a bit of an obstacle- nothing to be too concerned about.
Nobody exists on purpose, nobody belongs anywhere, everybody’s going to die.
I went through it about two weeks ago, coming from the north. I have had some very difficult crossings of the swamp so was concerned. It looked swamping as all get out as I came down the hill to the swamp. Thankfully, it has been pretty dry and after trying to balance on the logs for a time realized the muck was actually quite stable to walk on almost everywhere. It was awesome. Of course, you may already know to make sure you know which portage trail you are on on the south side of the swamp. The south side of muck has two trails to no name so be careful not to take a wrong turn and wind up back on the lake you started on.
