So I'm finally buying a hammock, I've done all the research needed and know what i want, i bought a nice UGQ underquilt last year, i was going to buy a Warbonnet Blackbird XL but we never ended up pulling the trigger on a bwca trip last year so i never did. My question is this, is the blackbird still the cats meow? I've considered hennesy but heard more good feedback about warbonnet on here last year.

The WBBB is a unique experience - just not the newest craft hammock now. I've had my XLC out for 20 nights over 2 yrs and just finally got it dailed in. The design of the hammock allows for a very flat lay but only with the foot end 18 inches above the head. This moves the body much closer to the head end resulting in the elusive WBBB bliss! The hammock ridgeline will be at a definite angle, but all is well.

Well, I started out with the Hennessy Ultralight Backpacker side entry and slept awesome in it. Having researched extensively, I then decided the WBBB would be even better so I bought one. Unfortunately I couldn't get as comfortable in it due to the calf ridge issue that some have, but maybe if I hang the foot end higher it might mitigate the problem. HOWEVER, the current cat's meow is the Dutchware Chameleon which was only offered as a Kickstarter campaign recently. To give you an idea of how intense the interest is for this hammock, Dutch had a Kickstarter goal of $20,000.00 and ended up raising $199,549.00 and selling 605 hammocks. Mine should hopefully be arriving next week. Dutch hopes to be offering the hammock on his website in May I believe.
