bwcadan	03/14/2012 05:05PM I walked the Agnes Portage to Oyster River while base camping on Agnes. A nice exercise walk but in no way as enjoyable as the subject portage.

Not long but has nice up and down trail with some duff, stream with gurgling noise, open woods with huge old trees spaced about, and large rocks to view as well, This is worth a side trip just to walk over the portage and back if you are spending time in the general area anyway. If you fish, I hear that is good should you want to carry your canoe to Oyster Lake. Pack a lunch and enjoy.
