TomT, I use a Hennessy Asym with oversize hex fly. Ilove it. As to the kayak paddle; what do you use? Dick

It's a Bending Branches "Slice" at 260 cm. I had a 240 but traded up for the longer one and it's just perfect. I carry a single blade as backup and for fishing or use in small streams or rivers.
There's a seperate section here for hammockers. I'm not sure if I've seen you in there but if not you can find it on the main page.

Good looking boat! Was also wondering if you considered using a kayak paddle? I used one for the first time in my solo boat last year and it was wonderful. It saves energy imo.
Thanks for the report and pics. Also nice to see another hammocker. What do you use?

Nice report! I also love the boat. I see that one of your hobbies is canoe building. How was the process. It looks great.

Thanks, I always enjoy trip reports, especially solos, and especially first solos. First solos are such a singular learning experience. It sounds like you had a pretty nice one...aside from the usual taking too much stuff :).
