The last two years we used EP 41 and were also lucky with the lake conditions. I can see why people flock to Brule Lake though. You can spend a lot of time on that lake and be able to take some neat day trips off of it too. I enjoyed the Cone Lakes also and found Cliff Lake to be one I want to go back to and enjoy in better weather. I didn't care for the portage from Cliff to the Cones very much though. Thanks for sharing. Any pics?
