A couple of years ago we met some guys on a portage who were drinking what they called "portage juice." The main ingredients were everclear and apple cider, but there were other things involved. We tried to make it from memory last year, but it didn't seem to be right. Does anyone know what this recipe is or have any similar recipes?

its reeeeeeeeealy good. dont drink while traveling though, a broken leg will certainly ruin your trip and possible someone elses too if strangers need to lend a hand.

maybe its just me, but that sounds really really sweet. apple juice/cider is usually very sweet on its own, but then you add 3 cups of sugar? guess it helps mask the taste of the alcohol.

I always thought a crucial portage juice ingredient was DEET.
