I realize that only a small portion of Ross Lake is in the Quetico but I think that folks who are familiar with the area from Saganagons to Mack can best answer my questions.

Does there appear to be any boat traffic on Ross Lake? I think that Kashabowie Outposts has a boat or two stashed on the lake but I am hoping that is it. Does anyone know if there is a way to get a boat to Ross Lake?

Does there appear to be any cabins or resort outposts on the lake?

How is the best way to access Ross Lake? One option I have thought of is a Quetico day permit and then going through Saganagons but then I couldn't take live bait with me. Are there any other portages to Ross Lake from outside the Quetico?

Any ideas or answers to my questions are greatly appreciated.
