Lots of fun. Went in at Stanton Bay of Pickerel Lake, down to an island site on Russell the first day. PLanned on 2 nights there, but it turned into 3 as the 3rd day it was pouring in buckets, with thunderstorms and winds, for several hours. So no travel that day...Then to Lonely Lake for a night. Island campsite a little rough but great fishing. Then to Jesse lake for a night. Nice site, lots (relatively, for Quetico) of parties camping on the lake. Fishing looked promising but kind of fizzled out (still had enough for dinner). Final night on Batchewaung Bay, on a really nice island site. Fishingwise, pretty much everyone got skunked there. Lots of muddy, sloggy , rocky portages - I'd have been disappointed not to encounter those! :) Exited at Nym Lake. Canoe Canada dropped/picked us up. Nice people.

Took lots of pictures, will try to post some when I can.
Lonely, Walter, Maria Lakes - beautiful! Sturgeon Narrows - fantastic area!

I still don't know how you can get skunked fishing in Quetico, I always shake my head when I see someone report that.

How many people were fishing?
How long did they fish?
What were they throwing?
Where did they fish, just from the campsite?

I will admit, nobody fished much during "prime" fishing times that day...
it was pretty much throughout the afternoon.

There were seven guys fishing, all separate with different methods. Both from campsite - which seemed to have great spots for fishing - and canoes. I believe there was one walleye caught. That was weird. Other than that, fishing was decent throughout the week. Expected the walleye to really shut down after the massive thunderstorms, but we still caught them to some extent.
