I was searching the forums today for any hint of a fire restriction, I take it that the lack of posts is good news.

Has the BWCA been getting hit with a lot of this rain that has been soaking Iowa?

Going in the first week of August on Lake One.

I doubt fire restrictions will be put in place in the next two weeks as the area has seen its share of wet weather this spring-although not as much as Iowa.

August is still a long way away and lots can happen, or not happen, between now and then. I'd say it looks good now but if the area gets little rain between now and August I would bet there may be restrictions, especially in the 1999 blowdown area.

Stay tuned.

Just FYI -- current fire restrictions (if any) are usually apparent here:

Any thought of putting this up as a link on the left? Sure would get a lot of use (I would think)
