What is the story on parking at Stanton Bay on the Canadian side? A few years ago parking was allowed. But now a local outfitter says parking is not allowed and the only way is by shuttle. I suggested to the outfitter that if I wanted to park early to leave for Quetico they could pick my car up that day and keep it then return it the day I'm coming out. But they only offered the shuttle.

There some posts a while ago about this. Seems like Canadians could park there but not Americans could not but not sure if that is correct.

Thanks.

You have that correct. Only Canadian citizens are permitted to park there. If you post in the Quetico forum you will get even more detailed replies to this however you will need to use an outfitter. There are several out of Atikokan and even closer to this EP that you can use. Jim Clark at Canoe Canada Outfitters is a good place to start.
