Noticed that the Reservation.gov permit site took my fees out on the 15th. I believe results are supposed to be posted by the 20th. Safe to say I got the permit locked up? ;-)

No email to confirm but when I log into the Rec website all is locked in. Now to start planning

I went 2 for 4 on the Moose Lake Overnight Motor Permits. I thought that was really good. Both were first choices. I thought I may only get 1. I put down all the alternative dates and they were all Monday - Thursday.

I like to paddle but my friends have mobility issues and they wouldn't be able to do the more rugged portages so we are going to try this. I am going to bring my solo canoe too.

I have never been on the east side of Basswood Lake and I am really looking forward to it.

I thought for sure I would get the one just after Labor Day but didn't.
I didn't think I would get the one right after July 4th but did.

The other two were in late May and I got the later of the two.

Strange is the way of the Lottery.

I plan on going slow up the Moose chain and my Honda 25hp is very quiet and I hope to not irritate any paddlers.

How do you verify whether or not you were drawn for a permit?

Nevermind just found it, unsuccessful...Man 3 years in a row and no luck.

Pardon my ignorance as I never seem to have trouble getting a permit during the summer; where (EP) and when are most of you hoping and wishing in the permit lottery?

Heading in with an OM permit for Fall Lake on June 11th and excited about it! Hope the walleyes are hungry the beginning of June!

I see most people are trying to go through Moose and the mechanized portage. Is this just due to ease of portage or is there something with Moose vs. Fall lake? Better fishing that side of Basswood perhaps?
