Heading to the canoe/ pierz area in a few days. On our way out we would like to stay the last night on East bearskin for an easy exit. I see on the map that there we 3 sites listed. Any recommendations / thoughts on these sites? Also any other sites on the lake that are not on the map you would suggest?

Also do you find these sites ever full?

Thanks!

I just returned from East Bearskin. I stayed at the site near the Crocodile portage. It has one decent tent pad and has relatively sole access to a nice waterfall. Best access to site is approach along shoreline from east and slide in to narrow channel, any other approach will result in banging into rocks. Wood is a little scarce around site but there are several beaver lodges nearby which provided wood for fire (watching out for pissed off beavers, of course)

Thanks did you find it difficult to find an open site on the lake or were they all open?

I traveled the south shore of E Bearskin and noted no other campsite, I would have liked to have gone further but one of my party had a situation; in other words, he was scared s***less of the canoe.
