I am taking a group into the area in the 1st week of October. One of the people going with needs to get to the Minneapolis Airport the afternoon of our last day so I was hoping that we might be able to camp close to the entrypoint. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about the campsites on Sandpit and Mudro. I will have a large group and I am hoping that one of these sites will accommodate us so that we can hit the road early. I have been through the area but did not pay any attention to these sites. Thanks in advance for the help!

I've never stayed on Sandpit or Mudro as we always go right on into Horse and beyond. I imagine you can make any of the sights work and seeing its October you hopefully will find them open. I guess I would get to Sandpit and check them out first hand and decide.
Investigating Campsites is a fun activity too.
