Are the campsites on bald eagle all decently far apart from eachother? I do not want to hear any other campers while camping there. Is this possible to get that solitude when our group heads up there the second week of June?

I have yet to go (will be there 2 weeks before you) but I seriously doubt it especially in June. It's a hot EP with an easy portage in and no portages between lakes/a small pull over. It looks like over 1/2 the days in June are already booked and it's only been open for 5 hours.....I bet you'll have to do some portaging to find solitude though that EP, if it's even possible

Definitely not solitude per se, but much quieter on the southeastern end of Gabbro if you choose that lake, at least in the area of the campsite I stayed at. Avoid the west end of Gabbro for sure.

Bald Eagle is pretty quiet in june. the campsites are spaced well apart and I have never seen them full in june. it has good fishing for walleyes and pike. fish where the isabella river flows into the lake.

Would the portages to clearwater be worth it for more solitude?
I have a feeling that more of the fishing type of groups will be there in the beginning/ middle of june. Last year our group entered at #26 wood lake and camped on Good lake. We had the whole lake to ourselves. I just dont want to dissapoint my group this year with it being totally different, busy and noisy.

I'm sure you'll have to move off the 3 major lakes to even have a chance at solitude, but Bald Eagle is a big lake and you may not be disappointed staying there, you'll just for sure see people.
