Not sure but since it says thin ice, could be. We have warm temps and lots of wind today, so...

You can keep an eye out for these reports and/or call the Ely Forest Service at 218 365 7561.

Hope you get your "ice out" wish!

Don't know about Crooked, but just had a customer come back from entering at Stuart.

They said Iron is partly open and they caught a nice big walleye there (27 inches!).

Thank you for the great info! If Oyster is frozen, I would assume Hustler would be as well?

I have a trip next week to Little Indian North, and if Pauness lakes are ok I hope the same goes for Shell and Lynx! Thanks again for the info!

Fascinating. My Ohio last frost date is May 10th. I have held a notion that if I was younger in years I'd likely move to MN to be closer to BWCA paradise. Perhaps not.

According to my local garden center, we have the same last "killing" frost date in the Twin Cities.

A friend of mine was up at Mcfarland yesterday and said that lake was still ice covered. He didn't say if the ice was getting darker yet.

Heading into the Quetico on Sunday. From the reports, it appears that Moose will be open, but anyone have any word on Basswood (Bayley Bay)? This is insane!

Might want to double check the status of the park.
