I'm beginning to plan a mid-May trip to target lakers...need to add lake trout to my 'species caught' list. One of my trip mates is intimidated by big water, so one of the goals is to keep the lake sizes to a min. Plan is to base camp 3-4 days. Any suggestions?

we caught lakers all along this route during the first week june last year. we hit lakers in Ima, Fraser, ahmakose, wisini, raven, kek, missionary, and explorer. This is the route we took, you could just go into Ima and do good.

Thomas--- main parts of the lake quite big--- but enough island/points and bays to make Laker fishing that time of the year easier. Casting from camp has been just about as successful for us then out in the canoe.
