I am sitting at work wondering if I can get my hands on a fisher map somewhere here in Milwaukee (I guess I have checked out for the weekend already). I usually waited to by my map from the outfitter, but was wanting to set some GPS points this yare and mark them on my map as I go.

I'd suggest you try the R.E.I. store on Capitol.

I know for a fact that the Milwaukee Map Service at 959 N. Mayfair Road (Hwy 100) has McKenzie Maps. They're just south of the Mayfair Mall. Might be worth a call to see if they have Fishers. An absolutely outstanding map store.

So, did you find the maps you were looking for?

If not, send me an email. For a fellow board member, I can make you a deal on shipping. Less than Fisher can offer.

Where is your route taking you? I can help you figure out which style of maps will be better for you too. Unless you prefer Fisher no matter what?

(sorry for commercializing, wanted to help a board member)

I admit that Voyageur Maps are nice too. But for a few routes, especially the Mudro route loop, you need 3 of them to cover the route.

you tell me where you want to go, I'll help you pick out which maps to take if you like.
