For our next trip our group is looking for a BWCA lake off the beaten portage that we can sit on for 5 or 6 days and day trip. Fishing is important. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have a few suggestions.

#1. Toe lake off of Lac LaCroix
#2. Rush lake south of Iron
#3. Pan lake
#4. Fern lake ( Isabella river area)
#5. Boze lake

Otto off of Henson
Niswi, just north of Cummings
Bibon by Stuart
Brigand, south of Thumb
Takucmich out of Lac La Croix

All well off the beaten track.

The purpose of the journey is not to arrive.
