Trip route that's been setteled on is Seagull to that small little late on the western shore for the 1st day. Small trip up to alpine on the second. Off to Ogish on the 3rd, where we'll base camp for a day. 5th day back up Ogish, probably check out one of the top campsites that we passed a few days before. 6th day back across Seagull to exit point.

Dates are may 14th - may 20th. I know we just had some snow up there the other day....aside from that any final trip suggestions or campsite chosing advice from anyone?

I'm leaving on Friday at dawn. If I'm reading these posts correctly there are at once ungodly swarms of bugs and occasional deep snow.

I am going in Tuesday 16 coming out Monday 22 Hope to find more walleyes than flies but would be glad for nice days without cold fronts and welcome insects if it means something else is bitting. We are headed to Crooked in through the Horse River and out the west side through Fourtown.

ONE more day...give or take a few hours. thursday afternoon, ill be at lower basswood falls. my first trip to crooked. update to follow *about may 22nd. :) Jan

Kanoes--we will pass by Lower Basswood Falls hopefully midday on the 16 we will be traveling in 2 Souris River Quetico 17 4 people in our crew--headed for Big Current to try our luck. good luck on your trip--we were originally going in on the 12 but my niece is graduating from high school in Springfield Mo on Sunday so I will be driving all day Monday to get to Ely.

unfortunately, by the 16th, Big Current will be fully depleted of all game fish. :) good luck and have fun on your trip too!! we (all 2 of us) will be in a red penob 16. Jan
