The "Festival of Sail" gathering of tall ships is moving to Two Harbors from Duluth for 2022, because of harbor construction at the latter. Hotels, motels and resorts in the vicinity report that they are already fully booked for the dates in question.

Yeah, you can find a way to bypass most of Two Harbors. Guess what? So can the next person ... and a couple thousand more headed up the North Shore.

The wifey and I were just talking about this, I wonder if they have the option of providing shuttles? I am guessing it will be nearly impossible to get through town either way.

Shuttles from Sonju and/or McQuade are likely, I imagine.

I saw a Facebook post stating that the population is going to grow from 4000 to 100000. I can’t imagine trying to get there or even trying to get through town that weekend.

Thanks for the heads up. We usually stay in Two Harbors our first night after exiting the BWCA. Found something pig in Duluth for 8/4.
