Does anybody know that which way the Kawishiwi river flow? Does it flow north from Alice to Kaviana lake or south from Kaviana to Alice? I need to know this to plan my 10 day trip from Brant to Thomas, Alice and back.

Not positive but based on what I know, it should generally flow downstream to the west and upstream to the east.

It definitely flows east to west, but it's gentle current... you can easily go upstream.

An easy way to check the flow direction is to look at your map. Most of the lakes have the height above sea level shown. If the height of the lake you are going to is less than the one you are leaving, then you will be paddling with the flow (downhill so to speak).

It flows towards Alice Lake. I have been to Alice A few times and seen the rapids where comes in.
