I would not carry at 45 lbs. A screen shelter and any hommock would do what that does as long as you camp where you have a few trees strong enough for the hammock. Our tundra Tarp Creen Tent has been used for doing what the picture says- it just is not self supporting. Time to hit the sewing machine, Work to be done:).

Ive got a mosquito thwarting hammock and tarp combo that comes in around 2.5lbs

I wouldn't carry anything heavier than that any more... Or at least not much heavier, unless I didn't have a choice.

Just need a couple trees. Thankfully, every place Ive camped has enough trees to support me.

Thanks, Mocha, for the idea. I have just spent 10 minutes figuring out how to make one.
I just have too much winter time to put into solving problems and creating things I do not need and solving problems that do not exist. Yup, I am over engineering - again.
