I have about 7 ft of wall in my new office, and I want to cover it with the biggest map of the BWCA as I can find - like the ones in the forest service offices (maybe a bit smaller). Where would I find such a thing?

I've always felt like that National Geographic maps would be the perfect size. You would need to get two east and two west since they are front and back and do a little cutting and pasting.

We just had a big discussion of this including the guy who now makes them. Do a search for bwca on etsy.com

I separated out the maps and pasted them together. Probably 8 foot wide and 4 foot tall. Shows the entire BWCA. Not the cleanest look but I like it.

That's awesome. I wish I had that kind of wall space, I would like to have something that big.

Its on my wife's side of the garage. Subliminal suggestion every time she pulls in.

Piragis had a huge map I saw last week. It sold for around $80.00 .

I have this one as well. Cool overview map but really lacks the detail. It does show someportages ( not sure about campsites, I'm not at home now). This is the first one I bought but it was hard to really plan a trip from it. That's why I like the larger one. Even if you don't put it on a wall it shows more detail without having to own every true map
