Back in the "Old" days I fantasized about meeting her father; maybe bumping into him in northern Ontario on a portage trail? Now, I'd like to meet HER (LOL)! Us paddlers are a funny bunch, huh? My "Fantasies" are all paddle related (LOL)!

That's a pretty sweet ride. I would have loved to have seen it in it's better days and gotten a chance to paddle it.

However.... The reserve price is probably about 10k.

Make sure your spruce root is black and not something like white or Austrian. Black spruce root is far more flexible.

I got to meet Paul and his family last summer. Paul and his daughter Willa were competing in some whitewater events here in Wausau. It was a great experience. I felt more like asking them to join me in a paddle and beer afterward than asking for his autograph.

That's really neat! I remember going to the WW races when we lived in Wausau (Schofield) but I never was fortunate enough to meet paddling "Royalty" (LOL)!

I hope the right person buys it. It needs some love.
