Anyone have any leakage issues with the dispenser cap on the 2 liter clean bag? It has a ball valve that started to leak last week and not sure if its worth trying to fix it. My choices are buy a new cap for $13, buy just the plain cap without dispensing valve for $5 and add a valve to it or just go with a different clean bag altogether. I am hesitant to buy a replacement part if other had the same issue.

I just bought a replacement cap for the 4 liter clean bag. Maybe it's the same cap. If I snap the cap shut = push it all the way down until it snaps, it doesn't leak. However, it's really hard to get it open/unsnapped. So I just close it all the way without the snap. It leaks a little bit in that position, but I can live with it.

The first time I used mine, I didn't realize it needed to snap closed. There are a couple plastic bumps over which the valve handle needs to snap set, and at first it requires quite a bit of force. I was frustrated it was leaking very slowly until I realized the valve wasn't completely closed. It got a bit easier after the first few dozen closes, but I'm still hoping the bumps wear a bit more.

If this doesn't make sense (after my 4 bloody Mary's), let me know, and I'll take some pictures (sober). ;)

Yes, it's hard to open from the fully closed position, but it seems bto be getting easier.

I have had this for 4 years now and have not had a problem with it snapping shut. It appears that there is a little flat spot on the ball valve so maybe that is how it is leaking.

I noticed that 1 liter water bottles has the same size cap so I may just take one from a spare and add a water dispenser to make it easier to get water out .

Nevermind - I pulled the cap apart and it seems that there is an o-ring I can replace.

Oh, that's different than mine. I have the 4L version.

its the same as yours. (the picture I showed was just a hack I was contemplating) If you look at the dispenser cap on the clean water bag there is a handle you pull down to get water to flow. If you pop the handle off on both sides and pull out the white plastic "knobs" on both sides the ball in the middle will come out and behind there is an o-ring. I flipped it and it works fine now. Just posting for others in case you come across this as it is an easy fix you could make in the field if needed.
