Received a Bushcrafter ruck sack and padded canoe seats yesterday from CCS. The service and quality of these products are exceptional. Thank you CCS for making high quality canoe / camping gear. I try to buy my gear locally or made in the USA. I get frustrated when I look at a tag and it says MADE IN CHINA.

For paddlers by a paddler in Minnesota.
You get what you pay for. I think Dan would cringe at the word cult! Not that that matters at all.
I love when we run across small quality operations that are one of us. And is it surprising that those, including CCS are from the northland?

quote Wayouttroy: "Addiction is right. After I leave this earth my kids will be going through all my belongings shaking there heads. I think they'll use it to remember memory's of past trips and to make memory's of there own. I hope"
I hope your kids do make memories with your gear. I doubt mine will. So, when the time comes I will give it all away to someone that I hope will use it. Most likely someone from right here on the Flying Moose Channel.
I have given a bit of gear away over the years. Doing so has just added to my enjoyment when I think a piece of gear and where it might be or where it has traveled.
Oh yes, welcome to the CCS Fan Club!

I too am a member of the cult.
A Lean+, a Lean+ floor tarp, 2 Lean poles, a 60L barrel pack, 3 barrel pack stuff sacks, two traditional portage packs, a Guide pack, a Pioneer pack, a 10 x 14 Tundra tarp, 500 ft. of yellow rope.........all well engineered and well made.

I set a goal of losing 10 lbs. this year. I only have 15 left to lose.

Good gear is right!
We had our daughter's birthday outside in the back yard last weekend. The forecast called for pouring rain all day, but we had few if any alternatives at that point. I had the opportunity to set up my CCS tarp over the patio. A little unorthodox, only having an old crabapple tree, some hooks on the gutter and house, and a couple poles to tie to rather than a lot of trees, but it did the job. Then it snowed the next day. (A push from below, it slides right off the tarp.) Worked great and some people actually noticed the great quality. Crap, it's been five days since I've set it up. Being home sick, I'll finally take it down today. Great tarp!
(Somewhere there's a picture of a balloon animal guy under the CCS tarp surrounded by kids. Not your typical CCS photo but I'll have to find it :) )
