I have a old Dragonfly that needs some work.
I probably could fumble through the maintenance/repair myself, but would love to have someone show me the ropes.
It just quite working a couple years ago and I haven't found the time to fix it.
If you are interested send me and e-mail.
I'll repay your kindness with a nice lunch and a few Bungee Dealee Bobs.

That said lets move on to the item that is likely to require maintenance.. the stove. The other probably had you upside down in the wet."

I think it is a safe bet that he was referring to the stove.

I have some experience with DragonFly stoves, but I'm a bit far away to be of any "hands on" help. The most common problem is a clogged fuel line ... easy enough for debris to get on the intake when the fuel pump is disconnected from the fuel line. But there could be other issues.
What problem(s) are you experiencing?

Well those who guessed the Dragonfly Stove were correct.
I guess I didn't even know there was a Dragonfly Canoe, must be one those NE manufacturers.
The stove just didn't hold a flame and would sputter a lot. We had another Dragonfly along so we used that and I just put this on up on the back shelf. I was going get around to fixing it but bought another Dragonfly on sale at REI before the next trip.
I'm guessing this bad boy is 15+ years old. First and only stove that I had used.
I'm thinking of just going through and replacing everything. I bought the Expedition repair kit yesterday at REI.

It's a fairly simple thing to clean it out. There are some U tube videos and some other info with photos on how to clean it, if you google it. I have a MSR Whisperlite and I use some carb cleaner to clean out the lines good. I just soak it in it for awhile and then flush it out good and follow the other directions for cleaning it.

This stove is pretty simple. If you have fuel in the can, and if you pumped up the fuel pump and the tank is holding pressure the list of what is wrong is short. It sounds like a fuel delivery problem to me. It sounds like it's not getting gas. There is a tiny white filter in the end of the fuel line that gets plugged. It is located inside the brass piece that goes into the pump. Just use a needle to remove and press a new one in with your fingers. It is about 1/2 the size of a pencil eraser. Next it could be a plugged fuel line but not very likely unless you had bad gas and it gelled in the line, the filter should have filtered and dirt to plug the line. Last It could be the Jet/needle. Remove the top burner and remove the jet and needle and clean or see if it is stuck.

As said, check fuel delivery and buy the annual maintenance kit or the expedition kit (about $30)
In the kit, there is a set of instructions. Follow them. Make sure to replace EVERY "O" ring and lube the plunger. You be the judge on whether the tank gasket on the pump needs to be replaced. Make sure that the jet orifice is clean (if I can hear the shaker and see the needle, I stop there).
That is a about it. Should work fine after maintenance
