Got one from Campmor after reading reviews and forum opinions. I sure hope this will help my lower back pain, paddling solo. Can't wait for some ice-free water (!!!) to try it out locally. --Goose

Hope it works for you.

The issue is your back is wrenching itself with every paddle stroke as it fights your sliding off the seat forward with each stroke

The first thing folks ought to do is install footbars. Then the second if needed, back support.

So if you find that it doesn't solve anything, consider that a seat back needs to be paired with foot support.

Just like all kayakers have.

Probably right about foot rests. I rented a Wenonah Encounter last year that had them and it seemed to help, without back support.

Agree on the foot brace, it helps a lot.

I'm looking at getting a couple of these up at Canoecopia this year. For foot braces I usually have my gear packed in tight and push against the packs and chairs in front of me.

I must not have enough stuff :) I sometimes try that. The result is that everything goes way up in the bow and I wind up off the seat on my can..on the bottom.

Saying help doesn't seem to help.

I've got two packs and two chairs and occasionally a cooler for river trips. Also take a 30 L barrel for food
