I Don't know if it was there elite series but i bought a packable set of frogg toggs from gander last year they were like 20 bucks. Stood out under the rain spout for an hour and was still dry i ended up returning them after reading about how easy there puntuce/ tear.
I gave a quick tug on mine and sure enough ripped it apart. However they have a little heavier version of them at gander for like 70 bucks and i did the tugg test in the store on these they seemed find.

Keep in mind for my tugg test im 6'3' 240lbs so sometimes i get accussed of using a little to much umph!

I would like to hear some peoples real world accounts also

I have had a set for a couple of years and have had no problems. They have kept me dry many many times. no problems. I do not know if they are the "elite" series.
