I have always bought cheaper paddles and just left them in the garage, standing in the corner through the winter.
My son and I bought new bending branches bent shaft paddles and I was wondering if you guys do anything to keep them in the best possible condition.
I now have it in the basement in a heated room and off the floor.

Our BBs still live in the garage. However, it's an attached garage, is insulated, and they hang on the wall adjacent to the house, so they rarely get below freezing even in the middle of winter. Also, we have nails driven into the wall and hang them.

My paddles lay across the seat and thwarts in my upside down canoe hanging in the garage. They are up off the floor and way from where they can be damaged.
Watch out for that rock!!!........ Oooo.... That's going to leave a mark...

quote Savage Voyageur: "My paddle is down on my office resting on a guitar stand. "
You play air paddle too?
I can tear up the opening riff of "Layla" with a bent shaft.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog is too dark to read.

Some of mine too. But the rest are each in their own nooses in the paddle shed literally hanging by their necks so the blades don't touch the ground.
I am careful not to hang over a radiator. The paddle shed is unheated and the paddles do fine. I do have problems inside if the radiator is too close. I had two paddles warp badly.

left our paddles in the outside shed last winter in a bag made of sewed heavy toweling for use in the vehicle so they don't (4 of them) get banged around etc. Well the mice thought that was the greatest thing to shred up and use for their nesting material. Paddles were fine though. New paddle bag is moved into house this winter.......

In house on paddle racks, or balanced on thwarts of upside down canoes that are on wall racks, or hanging from ceiling in garage. Lots of older, unique, no longer used paddles are standing in corners inside our house. My wife doesn't mind the racks, but hates corner dwellers.
The better paddles "are not" standing in corners.
I have raised possibly hanging small solo canoe from tall ceiling in living room. I don't think that is gonna fly..........
