I'm not a hanger so I will admit I know nothing about hammocks. That being said woot had a deal on a couple of hammocks today. One with big netting the other without. Just thought someone might be interested.

Just an FYI the plain hammock they have for $19.99 is a double size, but the one with mosquito netting is NOT. I was excited when I saw a mosquito net hammock for sale for $25, almost impulse bought one...

Looks like 2 of us have no life. I bought one, I've wasted a lot more money than that before.

I just complained to my wife that we have too much stuff in the house....
but she has WAY more stuff than I do.....

I saw that this morning too, as did my boss, who emailed me to make sure I saw it in case I hadn't already. I was a little tempted but I have 3 tablecloths coming in the mail that I intend to make into hammocks. There is a veritable range of mountains of information on hammocks and hammock camping over at hammockforums.net that I've been reading though. That's where I got the notion that a tablecloth can be a hammock. I'm still interested to see the quality of the hammock that Woot has to offer. Their finished product is definitely less expensive than what mine will be. Guess it'll come down to comfort and durability to decide if it would have been a better deal than my idea.

I got a double of the Yukon Outfitters hammock last winter off Woot. Used it on my spring trip, it worked great! Sagged quite a bit on the first night so I shortened the ropes on the end and it was fine after that. Paired it with Eno slap straps and a Eno pro fly that my daughter got me for X-mas. After going to a hammock, I'll never go back to the tent. Only down side is the tent was nice to play cribbage in during the rain. All in all, Good deal. Decent hammock for the budget minded tripper.

My co-worker too brought it to my attention. "a screened in hammock for $30"? "No way"! I said. "I am sure it is not made well"! And to prove it....I bought one. So, we will see. I doubt I would use it instead of a tent, but it would sure be nice to take a mosquito free nap.

I have the double from yukon as my house hammock set up out in my backyard. Decent quality, does not come with carabiners. Can't hardly tell the difference between Yukon and my Eno.

Woot is offering these hammocks and rain flies again. Woot hammock sale

I'm still committed to my tent, but $50 for the hammock, mosquito net, and fly, I'm tempted...

04/07/2015 11:57AM
For $20, I'll give the 9x11 fly a go.

I have a couple of hammocks with the netting. I use a Wilderness Logics Tadpole fly with it. I have been very happy with both.

This is the first time I have seen the rain fly on woot. For $20, I might have to give it a try.

We had that same hammock four years ago. They guy used that hammock, a thermarest style pad and a rain fly. He seemed to like it. He bought it from me.

I just got the rainfly I ordered. I don't know that I'd trust it over my hammock, but for $20 it will certainly make a dandy kitchen tarp.

After buying a tent, pack and a new sleeping pad in the last week I figured I was done. Then I saw this deal. I finally justified the purchase in my mind last night and was ready to purchase this morning. I mean how better to try out hanging than with that low price. I guess it wasn't in the cards however because I didn't know that woot was only a 24 hour sale site. Oh well, I guess I'll wait till I notice some other deal you guys post on here. This site is seriously bad for my pocketbook.

Just so you know, these hammocks cycle through the woot site fairly regularly. You will probably see them again.
